Answer: Prior to heating let the ham get to room temperature, remove the plastic bag, but leave the foil on slightly loosened. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Place the whole or half ham in the oven for 10 minutes per pound. Example: a 7 lb ham would be in the oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Answer: Yes, each ham is cooked for 30 hours; even the marrow of the bone is well done – each ham being checked by an internal thermometer. Our hams are truly unique, due to our slow cure, real hickory smoking, spiral slicing, and honey and spice glaze.

Answer: A Gold -N- Ham should keep up to two weeks under proper refrigeration. Because of poorer refrigeration, the hams of 20 years ago had a very high salt content, and while they were less perishable, they were also very salty. Gold -N- Hams are processed to produce a far superior flavor and tenderness, not to keep indefinitely.

Answer: Yes, if not to be consumed in one week or less, uncooked portions can be frozen for up to 2 months. Package meal size portions in tightly wrapped aluminum foil. Thaw portions as needed.
